Frugal Spring Outfit

By now you know that I just sell things on Ebay as an excuse to haunt the thrift shops and garage sale--no secret there!  It's hard to believe that I once turned up my nose at thrift shops, thinking they were just smelly, junky places.  Well, maybe thrift shops have improved since those days way back when, because I get a real kick out of scouring them for bargains today.  One such bargain is my "Not-Quite-New-But-New-To-Me" Spring outfit which I am wearing for the first time today.  (It is going to be warm and sunny today--hurrah!)

This soft challis Empire waist dress with ties in back in yellow and green, the perfectly matching pale yellow t-shirt, AND the new-model Clarks tan leather suede sandals were purchased at thrift shops for a grand total of LESS than $10.00.  That's all three pieces!  Now I think anyone could live with that kind of thrift! (Even the old me!)

And the perfectly matching (if I DO say so myself!) little sunflower pin is one that I crocheted years ago when I was on a pin-making binge.  It is made of thin crochet thread, then tea-dyed, with a pin on the back.  I love it.  (I should make some more of those!)
Have you started wearing any spring bargains yet?  REMEMBER, for each comment you leave this entire month of May your name will be entered in the drawing for the "Calendar Bears Cross Stitch Tote Bag Giveaway".  Do you think I should do a Crocheted Sunflower Pin giveaway sometime? What bargains have you scored lately?
