Make a Reversible Purse

Here is the cute reversible handbag I made this week.  I am teaching the granddaughters how to make one, too.  If they get theirs finished I will show them to you later this week.

The bottom fabric was a scrap of drapery fabric that I had stored in my stash for years, waiting for the perfect project.  It was way too cute to just discard.  So here is the side featuring asparagus.  :-)

This side features a rabbit.

And the reversible inside is made from a green tree print batik from my stash.
If you want to make one, HERE is the YouTube link to Debbie Shore's pattern.
It only takes a couple of hours to make from beginning to end--Enjoy!
Will you try it?

  1. Love the fabric - bunny love, of course. Would you adopt me as a grandchild?...I can be the oldest, but childlike at heart and spirit. I would be available for all the fun things, but not the dishes or the cooking.

  2. I have purse envy! I'm going to have to watch the video and take good notes, because I'm not sure they will still have YouTube or the Internet by the time I get around to making my purse..hahaha!!! Liiking forward to seeing the grand children's versions.

    1. Now I think you might find two measley hours before the internet is defunct, don't you? Maybe I'd better do a class?
