Last Day of October

Above is a photo sent to me a little while ago from my friend Becky of her driveway this evening.  The colors came late this year.  Perhaps due to the draught this summer we have less reds and brilliants than usual, too.  But today, with overcast skies allowing the brilliance to pop, I couldn't help but drive around our subdivision and take a few snapshots of God's artwork.  I am breathless...

And as the sun was setting I laid on the sofa and took these photos of the view through our back windows.  An almost holy atmosphere filled the room with peace and serenity beyond words. A beautiful silence whispered about the glory of the Creator of all of this.

I thought about how everyone, wherever they might be in this world, who views this blog has beauty to behold right outside their door.  We need only the eyes to see it.  The heart to hold the fullness of overflowing gratitude.  The soul to breathe in His Presence.

"For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead."
(Rom.1:20 KJV)
