Nobody's Perfect!

So today is pretty outside for a change, sunny and in the 50's.  The snow we had the day before yesterday is melted away. I'm totally in the mood for some New Clothes, if you know what I mean.  So there I am in the dressing room of my Favorite Place, "Soft Surroundings", trying on everything in my size.  Having a ball.  I love being waited on by the helpful staff, "May I bring you anything else? Would you like a chilled bottled water?", as I am sorting through all the pretty things in the posh dressing room.  Who wouldn't love this???  Then my phone bings that I have a text message.  I stop and look.  It's from Sweetface.
At this point let me back up a bit.  Remember how I told you that he likes to take Tuna Salad to work every day in his lunch bag?  I make the tuna salad and put it in these cute little individual plastic containers.  Then in the morning what usually happens is that Sweetface gets up first (not always!), goes into the kitchen and makes us both a cup of coffee and brings a hot mug of java and sets it sweetly on my nightstand.  Sometimes I'm so out I don't even hear it, but this morning I did.  I sat up and sipped my coffee until he finished his shower. I was still groggy when I rolled out of bed, put on my robe and slippers and padded into the kitchen to put his lunch together.  It's easy: throw in an ice pack from the freezer, one napkin, one plastic fork, one bag of pita chips (his favorite) and a container of tuna salad.  That's what I did this morning, as usual.
Back to the dressing room.  I click open the text message from Sweetface.  It says, "Oh, the cats are going to be mad! Look what you sent in my lunchbox instead of tuna! :-) XOXO" This photo is attached:

Then he adds, "Yum! Chicken pate' with urinary health ingredients....I mean....yuck!"

When I got home Rosie said, "Seriously, Mom, you really need to wake up earlier."
I think she's right.
Putting cat food in your husband's lunchbox is not a good thing.

  1. I would probably have done the same thing. Maybe mark the cat food in Braille for the next time you've got your eyes closed of half way open. Love ya!

  3. Yum Yum! Kitty Food instead of "Tuna Delight" something different on the morning menu. A "funny" you to will remember for a very long time.

I just took another look at your Etsy store. So many wonderful treasures! Congratulation on getting your store going!
