Vintage Market Days Comes to Town

I have not been good about posting this week due to the fact that I have challenged myself to list 100 pieces of vintage jewelry per week in my Ebay store until they are all listed.  That is quite a challenge, believe me.  So far, so good.  I got 50 listed the last two days, and am about to start listing my next 25, hopefully, today.
However I just had to take the time to show you some pics I got at Vintage Market Days this weekend.  It was the first time they actually came to our own little town (population below 10,000).  It was really, really fun, in spite of temps in the low 40's.
Becky and Ruthie joined me to add to the enjoyment.  Do they look cold? Ha! Isn't it good to see Becky walking around without even her cane now? She broke her leg on the ice just about 7 weeks ago, and didn't need a cast due to the metal hardware they repaired her bones with. You cannot keep a good woman down!

I will post more photos in a day or two!

  1. Congrats to Becky on her amazingly 'quick' recovery....I'm sure it didn't feel quite so quick for her. She has some great friends! What terrific treasures...Gary would've loved the golf stuff....

  2. I don't know what their prices were like, but I see a lot of stuff that sells well on ebay in those pics. In any case, it's so nice that you were able to spend a lovely day with good friends :)

  3. The idea of a vintage market coming to town is great. What fun!

Kudos to you for even trying to list 100 pieces of jewellery. That's a huge goal. I know how hard that would be though I don't sell jewellery. I'm trying to come up with a sustainable listing goal per week for my business. I consistently set goals that are unachievable so I'm trying to set a low goal that I can regularly meet and if I beat it well, that would be all the better.

    1. Fortunately I've been selling vintage jewelry long enough that I am able to list 8-10 items per hour now. However, I still take the time to research pieces--I love doing that. Vintage jewelry has such history. It is so enjoyable to sit for 2-3 hours pouring over beautiful girly things. I also enjoy packaging it prettily for shipment. Everything about it is great, except the profit margins. Seems the things I enjoy selling the most have the least profit--oh, well! I do hope to finish listing my huge backload of jewelry by the end of the month. Then I will go back to a more reasonable weekly goal. I suggest you just start with a goal that you feel comfortable with, and then increase it whenever you are able to accomplish that. It has to be fun, and not causing pressure, or why do it? Thanks for the comment Brenda!
