Our Precious Son

Little did I know when I snapped this photo of our precious son, Scot, on Memorial Day that it would be the last. We lost him yesterday in a tragic drowning accident. He was the kindest, most tender-hearted human being I ever knew, and it was such a privilege to be his mother for 47 years. So many lives have been brightened by his fun loving, boyish ways and his willingness to go the extra mile for anyone who needed him. My husband and I, along with the rest of our family and so many friends, are devastated by his loss. But we can only rejoice for Scot, knowing that he trusted in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and that on Father's Day he was welcomed into the greater love of his Heavenly Father.  "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away; blessed be the Name of the Lord." In the twinkling of an eye we will join you, my Beloved Firstborn Son.

  3. I am so, so sorry for yours and your families loss. God does comfort us His children and when the pain is this great we have to hold on to His hand to guide us through the day. I am praying for you, his mom, as I would want to be prayed for. I immediately am thinking of my son and how my heart would be be feeling right now. Again, I am so sorry, bless you.
