Heartfelt Valentines

I know, I'm days behind on blogging this, but I had to show you some photos of my Happy Valentine's Day happiness. Not only did I receive sweet, sweet gifts from my husband and family, but I also got to enjoy a Valentine's Party at dear Joy's home with girlfriends. (Don't you love her Waechstersbach china?) And I had to share some photos of my Valentine Hearts collections from Sweetface from years gone by, as well--they are always on display. Isn't Valentine's Day a joy?

    1. We miss you, too, with your babysitting for Granddaughter! Joy said she ordered the tablecloth many years ago. I think it just comes out, like the Wacherback heart china, for Valentine's Day.

  3. Love your heart collection. Adorable. We don't celebrate Valentine's Day, but hubby knows I love chocolate (Polish chocolates actually). So he always stops to get some for me on Vday..as well as a heart box of chocolates for my MIL from our kids and from my FIL to give to her. He's been buying them since he was a kid. But I don't have any Valentine's Day decorations. And only a couple for Easter and Halloween. Looks like you enjoy it though! :)

    1. Chocolates are all that matters! (I am hoarding my box of Godivas.) I didn't decorate either--started a heart banner that didn't get finished. Maybe next year?

  4. So pretty!! I think it's so precious and sweet that you and your friends come together to celebrate Valentines. It's for all of the loves in our lives :) I'm not big on most of the traditional Valentines Day gifts that people give. My hubby chose the perfect gifts for me- a box of peanut butter M&M's and a new playlist for my mp3 player for my walks. He new I had been wanting a new one for a while, and he chose great music that he knew I would love. I made him his favorite meal (meatloaf) and bought him a seat cushion to keep him comfortable during our four hours at the auction house. Nothing says love like a comfortable seat :)

    1. Thoughtful gifts indeed! I gave Sweetface dinner out at Wasabi. He loves sushi, and I hate it. So we don't usually go there together. (And I don't usually treat! Ebay cash!)

  5. Valentines day isn't really celebrated over here, cards and gifts are sent sometimes between couples. Your presents are beautiful, lovely flowers xx

    1. Thank you, Susan. And yes, Joy's house is more interesting than any museum I have ever visited. She has decades of collections from all over the world, and never gets rid of anything. Quite amazing.
