Berry Crumble
This is a very quick, delicious way to use some fresh berries.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a large bowl mix together:
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 stick butter
Mix it together with your fingers to form the crumble.
Then grease an iron skillet, or baking dish, with butter.
Sprinkle the bottom with 2-3 cups of berries.
Use blackberries (like these), or raspberries, or blueberries, or a mixture.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar on top, and 1 teaspoon of flour.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture over all and put it into the oven.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until bubbly and browned on top.
Then spoon it onto a plate.
And of course you are not allowed to eat this without French Vanilla ice cream on top!
Enjoy!
