Happy Birthday, Sweetface!

Yesterday was my Dearly Beloved's birthday.
 I made him a birthday cake.

It was two layers of a yellow box cake,
Each split in half horizontally.

In between each layer I spread a sour cream-coconut
homemade frosting.

It turned out quite nicely--yum!

I made twice-baked potatoes,
stuffed with bacon, sour cream, green onions, and cheese.

The entree was pan-seared T-bone steaks.
Smothered in mushrooms with garlic and onions.

Sadly, he had to work late; not arriving home until 10:00 pm, very tired.
So it was a simple, and late, romantic dinner for two.

No wonder I call him Sweetface!
