Needle Felting Class

This week I took a needle felting class at the Missouri Botanical Gardens.
As if I have the time to pursue yet another hobby.
But I can't resist anything that has to do with yarns and felt and color!
Here are some photos of the class.
We were supplied with a bag of soft wool roving by our teacher, Suzanne.
I met "Glory", who told me she was named such due to being
born on the Fourth of July. (Like me! And my oldest granddaughter!)
I told her I hope her last name is "Halleluia"! (But, no.)
We were taught how to lay the roving on a base of felt
and poke it repeatedly with barbed felting needles.
We spent hours happily learning our new craft.
Aren't these all just lovely?
I made my finished project into a little purse with blanket stitching and a crocheted handle.

That was fun! I think I will do more in the future.
Have you ever needle felted?
