Partying Again

Yesterday our Ladies Luncheon group met again at Janine's beautiful home, which was all decked out for Spring.  She served us like Queens, as usual, with the most gorgeous table setting, , wonderful ambience, delectable food, and pretty little spring chocolates to take home--all more fun than anybody ought to have in one day...

A squirrel decided to munch at Janine's window birdfeeder while we munched inside.

And we did feast--on Potato Leek Soup, Chicken Salad and Shrimp Salad on Croissants, Fresh Fruits, many Appetizers, not to mention Strawberry Daiquiris!  Dessert was Apple Crisp with Ice Cream.

We capped off the day with a little surprise First-Time-Grandma shower for Dianne.  Karen gave her baby bibs made from dishcloths.  She got the sweetest gifts from everyone, many handmade.  (Next week I will show you how to make the felt baby booties I contributed.) Now her nursery will be well stocked for babysitting.
Diane and Rossanne partaking of goodies.
Joy brought some of her fresh eggs for Janine.

Arline enjoyed the treats, too.

Thank you Janine (and Zuzu) for a wonderful time!

  1. Bravo! Thank you for capturing the beauty and splendor of Janine's home. Sent a photo of my 'treasures' to my daughter and she was really touched and is looking forward to seeing everything first hand. I'm afraid I'll have to remind her they are Grandma's!

  2. Loved the photo's - what fun!

  3. Yes, it was good to let our hair down, so to speak, while awaiting our long overdue spring!
