Welcome Spring!

Well, "Better late than never," as they say!  The last few days here have actually been sunny and warm--in the 70's! Spring has finally made her debut. (But I did hear a rumor that Punxsuatawney Phil was in real danger of someone whacking off his groundhog tail for his totally false prediction of an early spring this year--however I am sure that was only a conspiracy theory type of thing that you just cannot believe.) Regardless of all that, AND the fact that after strong thunderstorms and a couple of tornadoes blasted through last night with a predicted two day return to cold temps and grey skies today--
Despite ALL That--Spring has returned.   Here is proof...
The color GREEN has returned--to the grass, to the bulbs popping out of the ground, and to the tiny leaves which exploded onto the bushes in the last 24 hours.
Blossoms have burst forth on the Bartlett Pear trees in our front yard.
AND this morning I spied baby birds flitting about on our deck railing.
What could be better than that? Oh, and just you wait...that can only mean the Redbuds and Dogwoods will soon follow.  And much, much more.  Stay tuned for this developing story.
Are you enjoying Spring in your neighborhood?
