What I Created This Weekend

I normally keep Saturday as my Sabbath day to rest, relax, and play in the studio. I look forward to Saturday all week long and try to protect it from going anywhere or committing to anything other than maybe an evening church service. I am especially into making jewelry lately, mostly out of a combination of vintage and other components mixed together to make a one of a kind creation. This week I made these items to put in my ETSY shop. It was an enjoyable day.  I love having things to remember it by, too.
This necklace is made from crocheted natural lavender stone beads
and an antique watch fob with a lavender cabochon,
and fastened with a vintage button.
This necklace was made the same way,
but I added a sweet enameled bird pendant.
This sterling silver pendant is not vintage, but I am thinking someone other than just myself loves the verse in Mark 11:24, where Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mine is a great reminder that I need to Believe before I Receive.  (Isn't that what Faith is?) When I do my part, He does His.  :-)

Do you give yourself a special time to Create each week?
I think it is good for the Soul!

  1. Linda,Thank you for emailing me back with the info I requested. Both of your necklaces are pretty. I love the colors of the beads and the pendants compliment them as well. And what better way to show your faith than with the silver pendant. Have a blessed day. Lorraine
