"Vintage Sterling", My New Store

Well, it happened quite by accident that I started this new little Vintage Sterling store. I never had such a thought on my mind when I wandered into the newest antique mall in the area to see if it was really as nice as I had heard. It had only been open for a couple of weeks. It was, indeed, a wonderful place! Every booth looks like it was decorated by a designer. And it turns out that the local home designers are starting to go there to find unique items for their customers.
So, all of a sudden, I heard myself say out loud to the nice lady behind the desk, "Would you have any glass cases available for rent?" (I have NO idea why I said that--I had never planned that!) At first she said, "No." But upon further questioning she discovered that I was interested in placing sterling silver jewelry in the case, and then she told me that, "Yes," there was just one case available--the one right up front, next to the desk. It turns out that the owners had been holding it, hoping for just such nice jewelry to be placed in it.
I thought that must be a "God thing," and I have been very busily pre-occupied with getting it all set up ever since. This has not made it easy to continue my Ebay store (which carries my very best sterling jewelry pieces), my blogging, and my other normal activities at all. But now that it is finally mostly finished, I think I will be glad I did. Sales have already been quite nice, in spite of the horrid weather and my not having everything in there yet. But I think "Ethel", my jewelry mannequin is very happy to be a real working girl again!

  1. Loving it Linda. It looks so beautiful. Good luck with you new venture!! Are these items solely available at the booth, or are they also listed on ebay?

    1. They are not in my Ebay store. I save my best pieces for my Ebay store. (But don't tell!)

  2. Congratulations, Linda. I'm so excited for you. I have a feeling you're going to really enjoy this. Best of luck to you.

  3. Congratulations. It must be very exciting to start a new venture.
